HOW IT WORKS

How we get you there

Applications are won on preparation. Here's how yours will run.

1
DAY 1 An honest route check

Tell us your situation. We map the routes open to you and say which we'd take, what it costs and your realistic chances.

2
WEEK 1 Evidence, built properly

You get a document checklist for your route, and we test every piece against the rules before submission. Most refusals start with weak paperwork, not weak cases.

3
SUBMISSION Application in, representations attached

We submit your application with legal representations that answer the Home Office's questions before they're asked.

4
THE DECISION Decision and next steps

Approved: we plan your path to settlement. Refused: we move fast on the strongest challenge, inside the deadline.

WHILE THE HOME OFFICE DECIDES

Waiting is the hardest part. We track your application, chase where it helps, and answer your questions.

OUR FEES

Fixed fees for a fixed goal

Most applications are quoted as one fixed fee, agreed before we start. Home Office fees and the health surcharge are itemised separately, so you can budget for everything.

WHAT YOU CAN COUNT ON
A single fixed fee, for most applications, agreed before we begin
Home Office costs itemised, including the immigration health surcharge
A full document review, before submission
Detailed legal representations, with every application
A named solicitor, who knows your file and answers your emails
Straight answers on prospects, before you commit a penny

If we don't believe an application will succeed, we'll tell you before you pay for it.

THE JOURNEY, EXPLAINED

Visa. Settlement. Citizenship.

The decisions that matter for your British passport — which route, what evidence, how many days abroad — are made years earlier. Here's the whole picture.

STAGE 1 The visa years

Most work and family routes lead to settlement after five continuous years. Keep every document and log every trip abroad from day one — the absences count later.

5 YEARS on most routes
STAGE 2 Settlement — ILR

Indefinite leave to remain ends the time limits on your stay. You'll need continuous residence, the Life in the UK test and the required English level — all checked months before you apply.

+1 YEAR usually
STAGE 3 British citizenship

Naturalisation usually follows twelve months after ILR — sooner if you're married to a British citizen. Its residence rules count back from your application date, so timing matters.

Some routes run faster, some slower, and the rules change often — which is why the route check comes first.

BUDGET THE WHOLE JOURNEY

The real cost of an application

Legal fees are only one line. Add the Home Office application fee, the Immigration Health Surcharge — charged per year of visa, per person, up front — plus biometrics and any priority service.

For a family it adds up quickly. Before you commit, we put the full figure for your household in writing: our fixed fee and every Home Office cost, itemised.

Some family routes allow fee waivers where paying would leave you destitute — ask us.

WHERE APPLICATIONS FAIL

The three traps we check first

1 · Too many days abroadMost work routes cap absences at 180 days in any 12 months for settlement; citizenship runs its own, stricter count. We check your travel history early.
2 · A break in the chainA late extension or a gap between visas can reset years of residence. If a deadline is close, that application comes first.
3 · Evidence in the wrong shapeThe rules are precise about formats, dates and sources — the right facts in the wrong documents still get refused.
